The Victoria Orchid Society, a non-profit group of orchid
enthusiasts was established in 1971. The objectives of the
Society are:

- to promote and disseminate interest in the cultivation of
orchids;
- to further the improvement and preservation of all kinds of
orchids and their habitat;
- to actively support the collection of information, research
and diffusion of knowledge on all aspects of Orchidology;
- to co-operate and/or affiliate with other orchid organizations

We have approximately 170 members; the club holds
meetings ten months of the year in Victoria, presents an
annual AOS show at the University of Victoria, publishes 10
monthly newsletters and organizes a number of orchid events
each year. Membership will give you the opportunity to
socialize with other orchid enthusiasts while you learn more
of the beauty, culture and history of orchids. We invite you to
attend our meeting as a guest and see for yourself the
excitement that orchids generate and while there, inquire
about membership.
